My first attempt at clouds

Even though I suck at posting here doesn't mean I suck at keeping up with reading other's blogs.  I think everyone has picked up on this new cloud mani trend. As it is now dieing out I finally got around to doing it. I am such a slacker!

I learned a lot about my abilities and the abilities of my polished. The white I used needs more that one coat to be solid enough for me. I found it works better at the top part of the cloud. I also learned that I need to work on my patience and wait much longer on dry times for this mani since I am stacking colors.

Unfortunately I just got the picture of my thumb before I got distracted, did something around the house and snuffed the Crap out of all my nails. I was almost in tears. Well I guess I live and learn. The colors I used were Wet n Wild "How I Met Your Magenta" , then China Glaze "Champagne Bubbles", and the white I used was Buckle by OPI "It's All About the Glam"

This is also my first time posting from my phone. We will see how it turns out.

Super Bowl Nails!

Here I am back again. I could give you a list of reasons why I haven't posted in a while but the big one is: I am a lazy sod. On to today's nails.

I live in New England, so today I will be going to a friends house for a Super Bowl Party. The colors I have chosen work for both teams, but deep down I will be routing for the Patriots.

It was hard for me to figure out what kind of manicure I could do that didn't scream LOOK AT ME I LOVE AMERICA WOOOO since the Pats colors are red, white, blue and silver.
There are sparkles hiding on my middle finger

My husband saw me struggling and actually suggested this. The blue I used is Sinful Colors "Ciao Bella" which is a nice dark blue with some shimmer in it, I had an issue actually finding a dark blue. I have found that often times blues look much darker when they are in the bottle than on the nail.

The Crackle I used is Sally Hansen "Fractured Foil". I made sure to put it on thick to get some nice big cracks for the blue to show nicely.

I put this manicure on my hands and then ended up doing bath time for the little lady and two of my nails started to peel at the tips. I cleared them off, put down the base of blue, decided to put some sparkle on (because why not!), and then crackled them. The sparkle I put on them is Confetti "Tinsel" You can just barely see the sparkles but it's just enough that it makes me smile when I notice them.
